Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal is built around a rock said to bear the handprint of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, and is a major stop on the Pakistan Sikh heritage circuit.
The site commemorates a handprint tradition associated with Guru Nanak, and is one of the most visited gurdwaras by pilgrims travelling to Pakistan as part of officially arranged heritage jathas.
The gurdwara has developed around the sacred rock and spring at the site since Guru Nanak's traditional visit, growing into a major complex that hosts large gatherings during Sikh festivals.
Guru Association: Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Baisakhi and Guru Nanak Gurpurab are particularly significant occasions for pilgrimage here.
As with Nankana Sahib, visits are typically arranged through officially recognised jatha (pilgrim group) permissions. A head covering is required for all visitors.
